Chesapeake is an amazing place to live, and today, I’m giving you a peek into what makes it so special, from the beautiful lakeside walking paths to the impressive Summit Point development. Whether you’re considering a move to Chesapeake or just curious about the area, this video will give you a great overview of what living here is like.
Scenic Lakeside Walks and Affordable HOA :
One of my favorite things about living in Chesapeake is the abundance of lakes and walking paths that wind through my neighborhood. From an aerial view, you can really appreciate how much green space there is. These walking paths are perfect for outdoor lovers and anyone looking for a peaceful spot to get some exercise or take their dog for a stroll. In fact, my dog Elijah loves going on walks around the lakes, and it’s a great way for us to enjoy the outdoors.
Another thing I love about this neighborhood is how affordable the association fees are—just $24 a month! For such a well-maintained and serene environment, that’s an amazing deal. It’s just another reason why I feel lucky to live here.
Convenient Shopping Options Nearby:
Living in Chesapeake, you’re never far from great shopping options. For most of my groceries, I shop at Harris Teeter, which is conveniently located nearby. It has everything I need, but if you’re looking for variety, there’s also a Kroger not too far away, offering another option for your grocery runs.
Summit Point Development: Luxury Living & Entertainment:
One of the most exciting developments in Chesapeake is the Summit Point area. They’ve invested about $330 million into developing this area, and it really shows. If you’re into luxury living, Summit Point has some high-end apartments that are modern and well-designed, perfect for those who want upscale living in a vibrant area.
But that’s not all—Summit Point is also home to a variety of restaurants and entertainment options. They are still expanding the area, so there’s even more to come in the future. Whether you’re looking for a great place to grab a bite to eat or just enjoy a night out, Summit Point offers plenty of options. It’s definitely one of the highlights of living in this part of Chesapeake.
Greenbrier Mall Closing:
On a less exciting note, the Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake is unfortunately shutting down. While it’s sad to see a local mall close, the area still has plenty of shopping options to explore. With Summit Point continuing to grow and develop, residents will have even more retail and dining choices in the near future.
Why Chesapeake, VA Is a Great Place to Live:
Overall, Chesapeake is a fantastic place to live. Between the scenic lakes, walking paths, affordable HOA fees, and convenient shopping and entertainment options, there’s something for everyone here. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful neighborhood, easy access to amenities, or a rapidly developing area like Summit Point, Chesapeake has it all.
